The “Antiwar Trilogy” is a loose thematic grouping of films by Shinya Tsukamoto, consisting of Fires on the Plain (2014), Killing (2018), and Shadow of Fire (2023). While not connected through a continuous narrative, the three films are unified by their depiction of war and its aftermath through intimate, often brutal, and deeply personal perspectives.
